Kingdoms of Nature

FALL 2016

Version: 1.0      |      Used: C++, SFML, Microsoft Visual Studio     |      Job: Game Designer, Developer

I was responsible for the whole design and development of the game. I have taken inspiration from past games I have played and worked iteratively to have a working demo by the end of the semester. I coded in C++, used SFML libraries and Visual Studio. I contacted a friend of mine for the 2D art and implemented it in the game.

This game was developed in collaboration with BlueSheep's Graphic Designer Tommaso Bergamaschi and it was created following instructions given by the professor in the Game Design and Programming I  (CMPT 414) course at Marist College.

Features
Learned Skills

- Discover the secret powers of the bandits!
Face the enemies that the most powerful kings have to defeat in order to    reach the lands of the bandits.

- Play Co-op with your friends!
Kingdoms of Nature requires two players. A coin decides who is the

player that starts the first round. The players use strategy to collect

elements that will help them in the final battle.

- Every game feels like a fresh and new adventure!

Every element in each tile is visible to both players at any time during

the game. With so many possible outcomes of the battle, each game

    feels like a new adventure.

- The real strategy starts at the final fight!
The final phase of the game starts when a player moves on a tile already
occupied by the opponent. The ultimate fight is turn-based and the

winner has to use strategy in order to destroy in a specific sequence the

   enemy's elements before being defeated.

  - Developed indie game following pre-designed

     deadlines
  - Used OOP and Agile & Design Thinking best

     practices

  - Learned the different steps of developing an indie title. From design to a final product. Looked into Steam Greenlight to possibly publish the game on Steam.
