HereNThere

FALL 2017

Status: Version 5.1

Used: NodeJS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Google API (Maps, Places, Directions), HTML, CSS

Job: Project Manager, UI & UX Designer, Front-End Developer, Back-End Developer

Developed in NodesJS and Bootstrap, HereNThere is a roadtrip planner. I was responsible for the whole application as the product manager. I also was part of the development team. We used NodeJS in order to be able to host 600+ concurrent users on peak traffic. I developed a custom algorithm with another developer to minimize API calls and allow the real-time calculated traffic to be displayed and accessed in a stable matter during client presentation.

An all-in-one application where users can select destinations or pick recommended ones, select dates, numbers of hours on the road, preferred time for lunch and dinner, and have the application create the perfect roadtrip for their next adventure. From points of interest to hotels and restaurant that reflect the user's budget, the application is tailored around the end user making sure that roadtrip planning is as easy and streamlined as possible. This project was developed for the Capstone Project I & II (CMPT 475) courses at Marist College.
